Unable to install ore_algebra

I am having troubles installing the ore_algebra package. When trying to run the recommended command from the ore_algebra GitHub page, or even sage -i ore_algebra, I keep getting a metadata-generation-failed error. It seems that this package is unable to find the FLINT commands, such as ComplexBallField, that are running fine in my installed version of SageMath.

I had these errors both using SageMath's binaries installed from conda and when using SageMath installed from source. I am running Ubuntu 25.10

I don't know if this is an orthodox solution, but I managed to solve my problems by installing passagemath instead of sagemath, inside a virtual python 3.13.7environment, following the instructions here: https://github.com/passagemath/passag...

This is not a good solution. Please tell the ore_algebra authors about this problem.

I already did: https://github.com/mkauers/ore_algebr... In fact, I wrote to them before writing here. There may be some conflicts with the Cython building system.

This could be caused by the very suspect lines in https://github.com/mkauers/ore_algebr... that possibly oblige the user to switch to the fork instead of sagemath.
